Head of Finance Animal Health IMETA

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead Finance and Controlling for the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health organization in the ROPU IMETA (Regional Operating Unit India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa).

 

As Head of Finance for IMETA Animal Health, the job holder is responsible to effectively guide the AH Finance and Controlling organization across the region. As the interface to the Corporate AH Finance organization, the successful candidate will provide consistent support to business partners within the ROPU and across the region.

 

The job holder directly reports to the Head of Finance & Administration IMETA and is the direct Business Partner for the IMETA Head for Animal Health.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Controlling:

  • Provide support to and challenge Business Partners on business practices and opportunities impacting financials.
  • Provide guidance to AH Controllers for application of Corporate and local controlling strategies and processes.
  • Process owner for Planning and Reporting Cycles.
  • Regularly analyze and correct items affecting the P&L.
  • Coordinate with Head of FACT and Head HP Finance on planning, month-end closing, and year-end closing processes.

Leadership:

  • Set direction and lead changes for the Controlling team.
  • Deliver results through effective people leadership.
  • Foster people development through knowledge sharing and exchange programs.

 

Controlling Projects and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead or support projects, including Corporate Controlling initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance processes and behaviors.

Network:

  • Build and maintain external and internal networks.
  • Serve as the main contact for Corp. Finance colleagues.
  • Act as the AH Finance Contact for all OPUs within the ROPU, including OPU Controller/FAMs and OPU AH Heads.

 

Compliance Responsibility:

  • Oversee compliance and adherence to corporate SOPs, local regulations, and best practices.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in S&OP Cycle meetings.

 

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s degree and/or Diploma Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • A CPA or CFA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years of experience in Finance & Controlling within a multi-national organization.
  • Experience within a wide region and/or multiple countries is an advantage.
  • Working experience within a pharmaceutical organization is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of Corporate and international framework with regards to regulations, policies, and processes.
