HP Controlling intern
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a talented and innovative Controlling Intern to join our Organization's Finance team in the UAE, based in Dubai. The Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals who will guide you through real-world, hands-on experiences. This internship will provide valuable insights into various aspects of finance and contribute directly to the success of our company.
Role & Responsibilities:
Reporting and dashboard development
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key financial performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
- Collaborate with finance and business professionals to define reporting requirements and translate business needs into functional, visually appealing dashboards.
- Clean, and transform financial and operational datasets from various sources using tools such as Power Query to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Use Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to create advanced calculations and metrics within Power BI models.
Process automation and improvement
- Evaluate existing finance business processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks, such as data collection, and report distribution.
Data analysis and management
- Perform statistical and exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large financial datasets.
- Support data cleansing initiatives to improve the overall quality of data used in reporting and analysis.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of data models to support scalable business intelligence reporting.
- Share emerging technologies in data analytics and business intelligence to propose new solutions
Communication and collaboration
- Present findings and insights from data analysis and dashboards to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.
- Work closely with finance, and other business units to integrate data insights into business strategies and support strategic decision-making.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and deliverables to a supervisor, and participate actively in team meetings.
- Document technical and functional details of all developed reports and automated processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with major in IT, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence
- Finance experience preferred
- Strong technical skills in Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query
- Knowledge in SAP and Programming skills would be a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn.
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Valid UAE residence visa holder
