Controlling Intern

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a talented and innovative Controlling Intern to join our Organization's Finance team in the UAE, based in Dubai. The Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals who will guide you through real-world, hands-on experiences. This internship will provide valuable insights into various aspects of finance and contribute directly to the success of our company.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in budget / Long-Term Forecast (LTF), Outlook / budget latest estimate (OL), Monthly landing Estimate, and other financial planning processes
  • Assist in preparing analysis and management reports to Regional Operating Units (ROPU) IMETA and ALAMEA, ensuring transparency in Operating Units (OPU) and business performance against budget, OL and LTF.
  •  
  • Conduct financial analyses of OPUs planning submissions, OPEX investments, and KPIs, ensuring adherence to corporate targets and guidance.
  • Perform cost controlling to understand the deviations in Actual vs budget, YTD vs YTG spend and highlight any potential risk in the watchlist.
  • Perform detailed sales planning accuracy check on SKU and country level, and ensure alignment with supply, stock coverage, and demand forecast.
  • Assist in analyzing geo expansion or product launch business cases and ensure compliance with the global profitability guidance.
  • Leverage data, business understanding, and interpersonal skills to partner with management and drive value creation for the company.
  • Proactively support cross-functional collaboration by engaging with colleagues across departments to gather input and feedback.
  • Continuously review, enhance, and optimize processes within your area of expertise and the wider functional team.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Power Query skills
  • Advanced excel and Power BI skills
  • Knowledge in SAP would be a plus.
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Valid UAE residence visa holder
