Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op to join our Biotherapeutic department located at our Ridgefield facility. As a Co-Op, you will learn and implement traditional and novel experimental designs to implement and/or optimize an HEK stable cell expressing soluble protein using transposase technology as well as characterizing molecules in ADCC, ADCP, CDC, and platelet aggregation cellular assays. This will include learning transfection techniques, cell line expansion, pilot production and pilot purification of soluble protein. Position also includes analytical technique for cell line characterization (e.g. cell line staining, cellular assays, and flow cytometry) and protein expression verification by SDS-Gel and Western blot. Progression to downstream cellular activity assay development, time-permitting. Other opportunities for projects include characterizing molecules in ADCC, ADCP, CDC, and platelet aggregation cellular assays. Demonstrated passion to the science, basic cell biology background will be beneficial.
