Key Account and VTS Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced Avian Key Accounts & VTS Specialist - North East Africa to join our Animal Health team. The Key Accounts & VTS Specialist will be responsible for growing and managing business relationships with our key customers, achieving sales budgets, executing sales & marketing plans, and ensuring the correct use of the avian vaccine portfolio by key accounts.

The job holder will report to the Avian Key Accounts Manager - North East Africa and will be based in Cairo, Egypt.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellence in customer support and ensure above-market growth in the multinational/national Strategic/Key Accounts in live vaccines.
  • Gather and update key insights based on monthly performance analysis and take quick action based on these insights, focusing on achieving/growing Share of Wallet (SOW) leadership in live vaccines.
  • Ensure the optimal application of Boehringer-Ingelheim live vaccines by training and auditing customer teams.
  • Achieve short and mid-term financial targets in live vaccines as set by the avian department.
  • Execute the KA Customer Business Plans in line with the KAM focusing on Hatchery vaccines.
  • Regularly update the sales potential of live vaccines in the strategic account and track the BIAH sales vs potential and share of wallet.
  • Lead by compiling all relevant information in the CRM system for our customers.
  • Maintain call rates, achieving reach and frequency for customers in alignment with KAM & CX.
  • Identify customer needs and make mutually agreed proposals for solutions that lead to maximal Share of Wallet and optimal key account intimacy.
  • Ensure proper installation and maintenance of vaccination equipment in hatcheries and in the field.
  • Manage VTS budget and inventory for new equipment and spare parts as necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering, or Business Management (Veterinary or comparative degree recommended).
  • Minimum of 2 years of solid sales and marketing experience with a proven track record of achieving targets and executing strategy.
  • Working experience in Strategic/Key account management.
  • Knowledge of the Animal Health Industry economics and drivers preferred.
  • Vaccine application knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a matrix team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong learning agility.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
