AH Controller
The Position
Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Controller for the NEW Africa OPU (operating unit). As the Controller you will report to the Head of F&A. Tasks & responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient support in various areas including Planning, Reporting, Business Partnering, and Controlling.
Planning cycle/budget process:
o Communicate planning, guidelines, timelines, targets, and relevant data to stakeholders.
o Provide financial impact and analysis of assumption set to the business.
o Support review meetings by generating overviews, analysis, and business support.
o Ensure timely submission of data in appropriate systems.
Business Partnering:
o Implement, align, and execute guidance provided by the regional controlling team.
o Provide operational business support with pricing, discount, and profitability analysis.
o Make recommendations for cost optimization and partnerships.
o Collect, interpret, and provide data for decision-making processes.
o Connect relevant functions on the local and regional levels for better communication and process efficiency.
Monthly closing/supplementary reporting:
o Process accurate and relevant accruals and provisions in financial ledgers.
o Coordinate data collection from relevant resources.
o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines.
o Perform month-end routines, checks, reconciliations, and analysis.
o Provide periodical financial information and comments for the AH NAF management.
Projects and continuous improvement:
o Work on continuous improvement topics to ensure compliance and adherence to financial regulations.
o Support Regional Controlling team on an ad hoc basis.
Network and personal development:
o Build and maintain external and internal network connections.
o Acquire and maintain relevant know-how and technical expertise.
Compliance Responsibility:
o Oversee compliance and adherence to corporate SOPs, local regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Business Administration / Accounting is must.
- 6 -10 Years of Finance and Business Controlling experience, preferably in a multi-national Pharmaceutical/FMCG organization in Egypt
- Experience in project management is a must.
- Language requirements: English & Arabic.
- Experience using SAP, Power BI, Reporting tools.
