Senior Controlling Analyst
The Position
Provide effective support to the Human Pharma and Animal Health Controllers. Closely support Human Pharma and Animal Health business in achievement and measurement against financial targets as well as in the financial planning and reporting processes. Support the Human Pharma rebate processes by providing guidance on the process and systems, and managing the reporting systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the HP and AH Controllers.
- Work closely with non-finance teams to understand their needs and provide tailored financial advice.
- Support HP End-to-End rebate process.
- Utilize various data source and tools to connect invoice validation, accrual rate determination, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Work closely with Market Access, FACT, FAM, TA, and leadership teams.
- Identify opportunities and risks, ongoing support to improve the process.
- Responsible for all financial planning & reporting systems as required.
- Be the local technical expert, train and support the local users.
- Analyze financial data, identifying issues, and proposing solutions (AfO, MySAC, Allevo, WFP, Power BI dashboard, etc.).
- Complete both actual reporting and budgeting submission requirements as assigned by the Business Partner and Finance.
This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is flexible.
Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department.
Requirements
- University degree. Accounting Designation or advanced standing in working towards attainment in Accounting Designation.
- Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting practices.
- Advanced technical skills of financial systems.
- Ability to challenge current assumptions.
- Able to work under tight time pressure.
- High level of business acumen.
- Advanced communication skills and ability to persuade others of financial implications of decisions.
