Purchasing/Sourcing Student
The Position
The Summer Student will assist the Purchasing team with purchasing/sourcing activities related to Indirect & Direct goods and services, data analysis, suppliercommunication, and administrative tasks. This role provides exposure to corporate purchasing processes and supply chain operations in a non-manufacturingenvironment.

Responsibilities
- Support troubleshooting internal applications to support business and global teams.
- Assist in preparing reports on spend analysis and supplier performance.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the purchasing function.
- Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing team. e.g. book meetings for RFPs, business reviews, etc.
- Help distribute, track and organize supplier evaluations
- Help maintain supplier records, contracts, and qualification documents
- Assist in preparing draft contract amendments and extensions under guidance from the Purchasing team
- Audit Readiness Review support
- Help coordinate small projects such as cost-saving initiatives, supplier consolidation reviews, and process mapping
This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is flexible.
Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientated.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The salary range for this position is from $23.30/hr to $27.00/hr. Relevant experience and education will be a key factor in driving the compensation offered.
