Credit Analyst (6-month contract)

The Position

Responsible for the Credit process and credit limits for Canadian legal entities, including Human Pharma and Animal Health customers. Work closely with multiple partners including customers, and internal partners (Business, Customer Care, Finance) to ensure appropriate credit limits are in place, orders on credit hold are reviewed and released timely, and overdue payments and deductions are actioned quickly.  Complete regular analysis and reporting on A/R balances. Handle all incoming payments from customers.                

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish credit limits for new customers and review credit limits for existing customers based on review of customer's financial information and order requirements and patterns.
  • Work closely with the BI Customer Care and the GBSC credit teams to release orders on credit hold and resolve credit issues. 
  • Partner closely with the business on Customer Issues. Regular follow up with Human Pharma and Animal Health Customers on overdue payments and resolution of deductions outstanding.
  • Support any Audit or Reporting requirements related to Credit or A/R. Determine bad debt provision to be recorded.  Write off bad debts as required. Update Canadian AR SOP and operating instructions as required.
  • Review customer credits and deductions.  Mark as disputed items in SAP.  Resolve with Customer. Write off small balances.
  • Regularly review the A/R aging reports and action overdue items. 
  • Work closely with the Global Business Service Centre (GBSC) and provide direction on questions related to all payments received and application to customers. 

This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is flexible.
Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department.  

 

Requirements

  • University degree. Have or pursuing credit designation.
  • Effective communication skills, knowledge of credit principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Team player.
