Brand Manager, Animal Health (Pet)

THE POSITION 

The Brand Manager has the responsibility to strategically manage marketing and financial resources of assigned products including sales, market share, average selling price and financial performance, inventory management, marketing plan development and implementation under the direction of the Marketing Manager.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Achieve/surpass net sales and financial targets including profitability for assigned products (net sales, ASP, market share, free goods).
  • Develop and implement marketing plan tactics aligned with the corporate brand strategy, in collaboration with other brand members, sales managers, technical services veterinarians and other team members.
  • Manage allocated promotional spends to budget and ensure brand financial objectives are achieved.
  • Assess strategic merit and financial gain of marketing programs, manage financial risk, monitor and report on performance/success. Consultation with Business Analyst on program financials.
  • Develop, manage and monitor product forecasts to manage inventory and write-offs.
  • Monitor and analyse latest trends in the market, competition, and product performance; communicate and make recommendations during strategic/tactical forums.
  • Adherence to corporate system requirements (ie.Futurcast, ELAN, CRM, Crossbow etc.)
  • Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations and BICL compliance guidelines and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contracts in order to maintain BICL’s excellent reputation within the industry.

 

This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is flexible.
Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department. 

 

Requirements 

  • University degree
  • Strong understanding of strategy.
  • Demonstrate project management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to monitor budget and resources
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and other corporate software applications
  • Ability to travel (including overnight travel)
  • Head-office based position
