Senior Principal QA/Test Automation Engineer

The Position

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior QA/Test Automation Engineer to join our Data-Driven Customer Insights team and lead quality assurance and test automation efforts through robust test process and automation framework. In this role, you will contribute to the OneCustomer product, an AI-driven initiative at Boehringer Ingelheim aimed at transforming how we engage with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders. The DevOps team builds and operates scalable digital solutions that enable real-time sharing of customer insights, leveraging data and cutting-edge technologies to support strategic decision-making across Commercial, Medical, and Analytics functions.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and DevOps team members to understand current and upcoming product features.
• Review, design, and maintain comprehensive test cases aligned with business requirements.
• Lead, plan and execute all testing phases: functional, integration, system, performance/load, compliance, security and regression.
• Coordinate and support business stakeholders (Sales Reps, MSLs, Medical and Commercial Operations) during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phase, providing clear documentation, monitoring and driving continuous improvement.
• Enhance, design, develop, and maintain automated test framework and scripts using platforms like TOSCA.
• Coordinate with external vendors for test case finalization, execution, bug tracking and fixing.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering and test automation, preferably in digital or AI-driven products.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end test automation tools (TOSCA preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), version control systems (e.g., Git) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with ability to engage business stakeholders.
• Proven experience in DevOps environments and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
