Network Access Control System Lead - Principal System Engineer

The position

 


This role will lead the implementation and development of CISCO ISE and 802.1x protocols for the Network Foundations Team at the Network & INF4OT area.
As System Lead the person is responsible for the planning, definition, technical architecture and implementation of systems; maintaining the qualification/validation of the systems (following the GxP processes)
• Operation concept and hand over to the operation support functions for 1st and 2nd level support of systems and software
• 3rd-level support & ongoing maintenance
• Optimization & innovation; related interfaces to other systems.
Additionally participating in projects and technology consulting around the assigned system and software responsibility which enables the effective and efficient delivery of IT services.
• Contribute to the successful rollout of Network Access Control to our global sites
• Participate in product, cross product and global discussions
• Participate actively as a member of a global team focused on Network Access Control
• Ensure proper knowledge transfer and documentation from Product Team to 24x7 operational team
• Identify and push automation whereas possible
• Ensure that the services/systems provided by the Product Team adhere to all applicable company policies, laws and regulations as well as to ensure that official SLC documentation is in place 
• Work closely with the operational team to ensure service delivery quality

 

 


Tasks and responsabilities

 

Is responsible as SystemLead (and/or SoftwareLead) for globally distributed systems and software with medium complexity of the belonging, or close related, organizational unit for following tasks:
• Perform basic planning, definition, technical architecture, implementation, qualification, operational concept, and hand over to the operational support units following the defined BI process framework of systems and / or software.
•  Design Systems and/or solutions properly, compliant to BI framework, and serving the agreed functional requirements.
• Responsible to provide maintenance, optimization, innovation, and 3rd level support for implemented and/or assigned solutions.
• Trouble shooting of system problems of the assigned organizational unit that have been escalated.
•  Is responsible that Systems and/or solutions remain stable, efficient, effective, and secure.
•  Is responsible that Issues are resolved with minimal service interruption to the service user.
• Is responsible that Support is provided within agreed SLAs to meet IT process needs. 

 

 


Requirements

 


• Technical Expert on Network Technologies (at leats 8 years working with network architecture)
• Experience as a SME on Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE)
• Experience and deep understanding on radius clients (Cisco switch, router and WLC, )
• Experience and deep understanding on radius supplicants (802.1x and MAB)
• High level understanding on Azure Active Directory and MDM
• Understanding of project management methodologies, especially AGILE and Waterfall.
• Experience working in an international and intercultural environment and availability to travel.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Self-driven person. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communications skills, team collaboration, customer orientation and teamwork.
• CCNA certification or equivalent
