Head of Logistics & Distribution ROPU SA

The position

Responsible to organize the storage and distribution of goods, and thereby is accountable for delivering the right products to the right location on time and at an optimal cost in line with defined service levels. Ensure excellence in logistic and distribution through effective management of logistics service providers and rigorous performance monitoring.

Tasks and responsabilities

• Identify logistics improvements and continuous improvement opportunities, coordinating gain-share efforts with providers.
• Own the management system for good logistics and distribution practices
• Oversee daily operations with logistics service providers
• Provide input for contract negotiations and tenders with logistics service providers , focusing on QAAs, KPIs, and cost control.
• Manage local logistics and distribution in alignment with best practices and regulations, together with the quality assurance team.
• Handle import/ export  activities from port to warehouse, including customs processes.
• Set up last-mile distribution tactics (Go-to-Market strategy).
• Coordinate inventory reconciliation, track variances, and resolve stock issues.

Requirements

• 3/5 years of experience.
• University degree Bachelor or equivalent.
• Extensive know-how in SAP.
• Know How in MS Excel – analytics and mass data processing.
• Proficient in English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Effective negotiator with excellent presentation skills (oral and written).
• MSc / MBA of advantage.
