Specialty Care Network Manager (region Flanders, Belgium)

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Specialty Care Network Manager, region Flanders, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of science, strategy, and meaningful customer partnerships. Your area of focus will be ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease).

 

In this highly visible field‑based position, you will shape how innovative Boehringer Ingelheim therapies reach the patients who need them most, working closely with healthcare professionals across the specialty care ecosystem.

This is a field-based position that requires frequent travelling within the Flanders region in Belgium and reports directly to the Head of Therapeutic Area ILD.

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales performance, market share, and growth by ensuring eligible patients receive Boehringer Ingelheim therapies in line with brand strategy and local healthcare environments.
  • Leverage data‑driven insights to optimize customer targeting, activity planning, and execution of Strategic Account Management (SAM) and territory plans.
  • Promote Boehringer Ingelheim medicines to Pulmonologists and Rheumatologists, ensuring appropriate use and full compliance with local regulations and industry codes.
  • Deliver high‑quality, multichannel customer engagement (face‑to‑face, virtual, digital, and other channels) to enhance customer experience and engagement effectiveness.
  • Develop, manage, and execute integrated multichannel customer and account plans, tailored to customer needs and supported by digital tools and CRM reporting.
  • Create and deliver value‑adding solutions (e.g. educational initiatives, tools, services, and materials) that support healthcare professionals in improving patient care.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, gaining deep understanding of customer needs, priorities, and patient pathways within the territory.
  • Identify and implement territory‑specific opportunities and strategic partnerships that strengthen customer relationships and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (e.g. medical, marketing, market access, omni‑channel) to deliver integrated, customer‑centric solutions aligned with brand Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and company objectives.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Masters or bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutics, life sciences, Medicine or Business Administration.
  • Previous commercial experience in the pharmaceutical & hospital setting.
  • Experience in the Specialty Care therapeutic area (ideally you have a network of pulmonologists &/ rheumatologists).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Expertise in customer engagement, external expert development, customer-centric selling skills, utilizing omni-channel and digital assets, and customer orchestration.
  • Skilled in using digital tools such as Excel, CRM systems, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch & English languages.
  • Strong analytical skills & business acumen.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with key external stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Ability to drive complexity, foster collaboration and manage different projects.
  • Actively works toward meeting and exceeding sales and engagement objectives.
  • Confident interpreting market data, sales dashboards, and customer insights.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly, including overnight stay when needed.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license.
