This full-time trainee program is based in Brussels, Belgium, and will run for a maximum of 6 months starting January 2026. You will report to the Head of Public & Government Affairs EU.

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor EU legislation and policy initiatives relevant to Boehringer Ingelheim’s business.
  • Conduct research and analysis on EU policy, legal, regulatory, and industry topics.
  • Draft concise policy briefings, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of position papers and consultation responses.
  • Attend and report on external meetings and events organized by EU institutions and stakeholders.
  • Assist in stakeholder mapping and engagement activities.
  • Contribute to internal reporting and newsletters on EU developments.
  • Support the organization of events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across business units and EU countries.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, European Studies, Law, Economics, Business, or Public Policy.
  • Valid EU residency permit.
  • Strong understanding of EU institutions, stakeholders, and legislative processes.
  • Interest in European politics, health, innovation, and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent command of English; other European languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, curious, and proactive mindset.
  • A self-starter and team player.
