This is a 12-month paid internship starting September 2027. The role is head office based requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh. 

 

 

INTRODUCING THE OPPORTUNITY 

 

Join the UK Oncology Marketing team and gain hands-on experience supporting the planning and delivery of activities that help prepare for important oncology product launches. You will work with colleagues across marketing, medical, market access, communications and customer experience, as well as external agency partners. The internship will provide exposure to how insights, strategy and compliant communications are brought together to support healthcare professionals and patients. You will take ownership of defined projects, contribute ideas and help the team coordinate high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

  • Support the development and delivery of oncology marketing projects, including launch-readiness activities, campaign materials and team communications. 
  • Take ownership of defined workstreams such as project trackers, competitor and market updates, meeting outputs and performance reporting. 
  • Work with cross-functional colleagues and external agencies to coordinate inputs, timelines, reviews and next steps. 
  • Use Microsoft 365 tools, internal approval systems and available data sources to organise information, create clear outputs and monitor progress. 
  • Contribute insight and ideas that help the team make informed decisions and deliver high-quality, compliant work on time. 
  • Participate in team meetings, training and development activities, presenting progress and lessons from assigned projects.

 

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN

 

You will develop practical experience of pharmaceutical marketing and oncology launch planning, including how teams use customer and competitor insights to shape strategy. You will build project-management, communication and stakeholder-management skills by working across functions and with agency partners. You will also gain experience of producing clear, compliant materials and using digital tools, data and AI appropriately to support efficient, evidence-based decision-making.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

 

  • Currently studying for a business, marketing, life sciences, pharmacy or another relevant degree, or an equivalent qualification and completing a placement year as part of the course. 
  • A minimum of three A levels at grades ABB, or equivalent. 
  • The right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship. 
  • The ability to travel independently to the usual place of work and, where required, to other sites. 
  • An interest in healthcare, marketing or the pharmaceutical industry, with the ability to analyse information and present it clearly. 

 

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Previous experience from university projects, volunteering or employment involving marketing, healthcare, data analysis, communications or project coordination. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams or other digital collaboration tools.
