University Intern - Marketing - 2 Opportunities
These are 12-month paid internships starting September 2026. The roles are head office based requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh.
Salary: £26,000 per annum

POSITIONS, TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1 x CRM (Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic) Marketing
- Digital marketing execution – support planning and delivery of omnichannel campaigns including audience segmentation and A/B tests;
- Draft concise copy aligned to brand voice, prepare assets and job-bags for review, and traffic assets through to approval.
- Data, analytics & insight – maintain datasets and trackers; assist with reporting and presentation decks
- MLR (Medical–Legal–Regulatory) coordination in Veeva PromoMats – create and maintain Veeva job-bags; upload source files/renditions; ensure correct categorisation, current PI, references, and route to the right reviewers before certification/examination.
- Team meetings & governance – Coordinate team meetings, agendas, minutes and follow-ups
- Internal social media (Viva Engage) including content planning and engagement tracking
- Brand stewardship & asset management – review and localise global campaigns; ensure brand consistency across materials.
1 x Established Brands & CRM Pipeline Marketing
- Digital marketing execution – support planning and delivery of omnichannel campaigns including audience segmentation and A/B tests;
- Draft concise copy aligned to brand voice, prepare assets and job-bags for review, and traffic assets through to approval.
- Data, analytics & insight – maintain datasets and trackers; assist with reporting and presentation decks

- Support Stroke Quality Improvement Lead - provide project management and materials approval support for the Quality Improvement programmes
REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants will be studying for a Marketing, Data/Analytics, Business, or Life Sciences degree.
- 3 A levels at grade ABB (minimum) with at least one grade coming from a STEM or social science subject.
- Applicants must have the ability for independent travel to work and other sites.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

KEY COMPENTENCIES
- Strong verbal communication skills within a business environment, able to speak clearly and fluently, expressing opinions information, and key points of an argument with clarity and simplicity.
- Strong written communication skills, able to write clearly, succinctly and correctly, writes convincingly in an engaging, structured and logical manner, avoiding unnecessary use of jargon or complicated language.
- Experience with Microsoft Office essential with the ability to adapt knowledge to use Boehringer’s local systems/platforms/technology.
- Sets clear objectives, plans activities well in advance, manages time effectively, identifying and organising resources needed to accomplish tasks, monitoring performance against deadlines.
- Able to work as team member, establishing good working relationships, adapting to the team as required; also, able to work as an individual contributor with minimal supervision. Must be highly motivated and have the ability to deliver both within a team environment and independently.

FUNCTIONAL COMPENTENCIES
Essential
- Intermediate Excels skills (lookups, pivots)
- Excellent PowerPoint skills
- Digital marketing execution (email, web, social), audience segmentation and A/B testing
- Data literacy (Excel; Power BI)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate data into clear stories and next best actions.
Desirable
- Content operations in Veeva PromoMats (job-bag creation, QC, routing)
- Understanding of copy-approval and the ABPI/IPHA Codes
- Basic awareness of privacy (GDPR/PECR) and consent capture in Veeva for digital outreach
- Exposure to Power BI
