University Intern - Customer Experience
This is a 12-month paid internship starting September 2026. The role is head office based requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh.

POSITION
The main duties of the customer experience interns will be to work on activities and projects within the different Pillars of the Customer Experience function. These will include:
Customer Facing Experience:
• Supporting the Head of CFE and individuals in the CFE on projects focussed on improving customer engagement enablement e.g. tracking of consents, reporting on digital initiatives
• Getting involved in setting up platforms that support head office email campaigns and reporting on key metrics for these campaigns
Data, Insights & Analytics:
• Support Data Quality and Integrity, including checking and cleaning data and managing data quality tickets
• Support in the creation and maintenance of Boehringer Ingelheim Data Lakehouse documentation
• Assisting with Market Research orchestration and the Non-Trial Activity processes
• Participate in the Python application developments including UX design, data transformation and coding
Learning & Development:
• Supporting digital communications on L&D topics, learning pathway communications & content maintenance of our BIBS (Boehringer Ingelheim Business School) internal intranet site
• Assisting with Learning & Development process management and maintenance of curricula for LMS/BI University, evaluation reports and learnings recorded for audit purposes following training
• Analysing and assessing internal and external insights, to support with defining value and tangible learning outcomes
• Bringing new development ideas/tools/ resources and solutions to the team so we can test and learn
In addition to the execution of the main activities, the candidate(s) will have opportunity to support other defined operational projects and activities and be an integral member of the wider Customer Experience Team (CX) where teamwork and collaboration are a given. REQUIREMENTS
• Applicants will be studying for a degree in 3 A levels at grade ABB (minimum)
• Applicants must have the ability for independent travel to work and other sites.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

• Strong verbal communication skills within a business environment, able to speak clearly and fluently, expressing opinions information, and key points of an argument with clarity and simplicity.
• Strong written communication skills, able to write clearly, succinctly and correctly, writes convincingly in an engaging, structured and logical manner, avoiding unnecessary use of jargon or complicated language.
• Experience with Microsoft Office essential with the ability to adapt knowledge to use Boehringer’s local systems/platforms/technology.
• Sets clear objectives, plans activities well in advance, manages time effectively, identifying and organising resources needed to accomplish tasks, monitoring performance against deadlines.
• Able to work as team member, establishing good working relationships, adapting to the team as required; also, able to work as an individual contributor with minimal supervision. Must be highly motivated and have the ability to deliver both within a team environment and independently.
• Follows instructions from others without unnecessarily challenging authority. Follows procedures and policies, keeping to schedules but remains flexible to changing priorities.
• Professional approach to work that upholds Boehringer’s values and behaviours and complies with all legal obligations and HSE compliance requirements.
FUNCTIONAL COMPENTENCIES
• Additional functional competencies: Fluent in English language - essential
• Previous interest in organisational change or communications - desirable
• Knowledge or understanding of healthcare - desirable
