This is a 12-month paid internship starting September 2027. The role is head office based requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh.
INTRODUCING THE OPPORTUNITY
The Commercial Excellence team delivers the insights that power smarter business decisions and better customer outcomes. We leverage data, digital capabilities and commercial expertise to develop the tools and ways of working that allow the organisation to perform at its best. During this 12-month internship, you will work across Data & Platforms, Sales Force Effectiveness & Digital and Pricing. You will contribute to real projects, learn from specialists and develop the analytical and problem-solving skills needed to make an impact.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Data & Platforms
- Partner with commercial stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical data solutions and insights. The role involves developing dashboards and reports, managing data quality across platforms, supporting system migrations and maintaining tools like Veeva.
- Help identify and develop use cases for AI agents to improve the efficiency, accuracy and user experience of business processes.
- Play an educational role, building data and AI literacy across the business and helping teams become more confident in using analytics.
- Develop technical expertise in data management and platform configuration, whilst building commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
SFE & Digital
- Support Digital Excellence Manager in Global vet portal support, campaign management across multiple species and digital channels. Support review of search engine optimisation (SEO) for websites, monitor digital and omnichannel performance indicators (KPIs) to understand and share performance.
- Support Training Manager in co-ordinating onboarding, learning & development initiatives. Opportunities to co-create training workshops and analyse training needs across the business.
- Support Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) Manager in sales incentive plan design, implementation & review, sales target setting and SFE metrics for executional excellence.
- Support Commercial Excellence Project Manager with cross-functional initiatives.
Pricing
- Assist with modelling various pricing scenarios related to customers and products.
- Maintain price lists whilst adhering to local governance requirements.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Currently studying for a degree in Management, Economics, Data Science, Natural Sciences or another commercial or STEM-related discipline and completing a placement year as part of the course.
- A minimum of three A levels at grades ABB, or equivalent.
- The right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.
- The ability to travel independently to the usual place of work and, where required, to other sites.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience via an internship or otherwise in a pharmaceutical, fast-moving consumer goods, (e-)retail or veterinary enterprise, or a management consulting firm.
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Experience with project management.
- Experience setting up and using AI agents.
