  • Act as a recognised expert within Franchise teams, ensuring OR insights are embedded into brand strategies and operational plans.
  • Provide quantitative expertise to Health Economists to support modelling and analytical work required for HTA submissions.
  • Contribute to and influence UK/Ireland Integrated Asset Evidence Plans.

Strategic & Operational Responsibilities

  • Translate patient access strategy into clear, actionable RWE strategies and Boehringer‑led studies.
  • Proactively communicate recommendations, conclusions, and payer value messages.
  • Ensure all work is fully compliant with ABPI, IPHA, and internal BI SOPs.

Requirements

Education & Knowledge

  • Degree in mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, data science, health economics or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) in Epidemiology or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of outcomes research methods and medical statistics applied to real‑world evidence.
  • Proven experience conducting epidemiological studies, from proposal development to publication.
  • Strong knowledge of managing, organising, and analysing large epidemiological datasets.
  • Experience using statistical methods relevant to health economics (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with CPRD or equivalent anonymised patient‑level data sources and practical understanding of the UK healthcare landscape (advantageous).
  • Competence with SQL and R (advantageous).
  • Ability to review and validate coding produced by Outcomes Research Managers.

Skills, Experience & Competencies

  • Innovative thinker with strong implementation skills.
  • High level of personal responsibility and strategic awareness.
  • Ability to create synergy across multi‑disciplinary teams.

Job Impact

The Senior Outcomes Research Manager plays a critical role in delivering aligned, well‑designed epidemiological studies across the UK and Ireland.
