Business Unit Manager Livestock

The Position

Overall managerial responsibility for sales, marketing and technical/professional functions within the specific Business Unit. Manages and provides leadership and direction for multiple brands and sales disciplines through direct reports. Shapes and integrates functional strategies.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure the achievement of NS and P&L,  by leading the development and execution of commercial, marketing, and technical strategies, while optimizing resources to guarantee the profitability of the business unit.
  • Strategic planning and execution to drive business growth. It involves developing and implementing sales, marketing, and technical plans, defining and executing the commercial strategy to strengthen market positioning, and ensuring that team initiatives are consistently aligned with corporate objectives and the company’s long-term vision.
  • Overseeing and guiding the commercial teams to ensure alignment with strategic plans. It requires approving and supervising objectives, policies, and standards, monitoring performance through KPIs and regular reporting, and applying corrective actions when necessary to guarantee compliance and foster continuous improvement.
  • Optimizing resources and ensuring financial discipline within the business unit. This includes guaranteeing the efficient use of human, financial, and technological assets, overseeing the accurate execution of the unit’s P&L.
  • Implement localized strategies and tactics across all business unit brands, ensuring the seamless integration of sales, marketing, and technical activities in alignment with the overarching ROPU strategy.
  • Serve as the local ambassador, representing the company’s vision and values while strengthening brand presence and market relevance.

Requirements

Required

  • Minimum of 7 years animal health industry experience.
  • Experience in Strategic Planning for Companion Animal portfolio including analysis of external and internal environment.
  • Financial forecasting (Sales and Cost Centre budgeting).
  • Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks for promotion of animal medicines.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of the industry including pharmacovigilance.
  • Advance Level of English.
