Veterinarian in Experimental Toxicology

The Position

Our group “General Toxicology” within the department “Nonclinical Drug Development Germany” is responsible for conducting regulatory in vivo toxicology studies. Depending on your experience in this role, you will also have the opportunity to work in international project teams for drug development in the field of toxicology. 
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct toxicology studies in rodents and non-rodents with various laboratory teams to determine the toxicological profile of new chemical drug candidates. 
  • Your tasks include adapting /developing study designs according to project needs, conducting toxicology studies, analyzing the respective data and reporting of the results.
  • Utilize your expertise to advance scientific topics related to toxicology.
  • Your responsibilities also include animal welfare and occupational safety – implementing measures to continuously improve our work environment.
  • Additionally, there is a medium-term opportunity to take on the role of laboratory manager (m/f/d) within our department, leading a laboratory team.

Requirements

  • Veterinary license (approbation) – we offer further training to become Specialist Veterinarian in Pharmacology and Toxicology
  • Knowledge in pharmacology and toxicology
  • Relevant experience in planning, conducting, analyzing and reporting toxicological studies (nonGLP and GLP)
  • Proficient in both German and English (spoken and written)
