This position is part time eligible with 70%.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will lead and develop a Clinical Data Engineering / Data Management team responsible for high-quality study data delivery in Therapeutic area agnostic early clinical trials.
  • Furthermore, regarding ongoing studies, you will manage end-to-end clinical data oversight — from collection standards through delivery of clean datasets ready for cross-functional study team review.
  • You will define and implement modern data workflows, tools, and automation approaches for both EDC and external/non-EDC data sources together with process experts.
  • Moreover, you will ensure robust vendor oversight including performance tracking, data quality expectations, contractual deliverables, and inspection readiness.
  • You will collaborate cross-functionally to secure fast decision-enabling data.
  • In addition, you will be the first contact person for escalation, governance of data quality, and continuous process improvement within the responsibility of clinical data engineering / clinical data management.

Requirements

  • PhD/MD, in Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields including long-term experience in Clinical Data Management and/or Clinical Data Engineering in a pharma/biotech or CRO environment
  • Proven experience in leading teams, ideally in early phase trials and in different therapeutic areas as well as several years of experience with vendor oversight, including performance governance, contracts, and inspection support
  • Solid understanding of EDC systems, external data acquisition, data standards (e.g., CDISC/SDTM), and data quality frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment under time-critical conditions
  • Teamplayer with excellent communication skills paired with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Strong, proven decision-making skills, including the ability to balance speed and rigor and to secure alignment under ambiguity
  • Fluent in German and English
