Tasks & responsibilities
- In your new role, you will establish HT-MS methods to monitor drug targets in a cellular environment.
- Furthermore, you will assess and broaden the applicability of HT-MS for challenging target classes.
- You will develop an efficient strategy for rapid HT-MS method development/optimization and its application to ongoing drug discovery projects.
- Moreover, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate novel reagents, instrumentation and assay formats.
- You will think outside the box, work independently, and challenge the status quo, giving you the opportunity to address unmet scientific questions in innovative ways.
- Additionally, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality data, presentations and reports, including scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements
- PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a comparable scientific discipline
- Expertise in assay development (biochemical / cell-based assays) incl. hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture
- Profound understanding of (HT-)mass spectrometry platforms (e.g. AE-MS, MALDI-TOF-MS, LC-MS) and their applications in bioanalysis, metabolomics or other relevant fields
- Excellent skills in data analysis, data management, and scientific presentation
- High attention to detail, strong scientific and technical problem-solving abilities, and a self-motivated drive for innovation
- Ability to work independently, with excellent communication and presentation skills to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in German is an advantage
