The Position

Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role, you will perform research independently and keep records of experiments accurate and up to date.
• You will work in a multidisciplinary team with members from various scientific backgrounds.
• As Post Doc in the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic team, you will perform state-of-the-art biochemical, molecular biology, and cell culture methods to study pathological vascular remodeling in liver cirrhosis.
• Furthermore, you will closely interact with experts in the field of computational biology.
• In addition, you will publish scientific results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present data at international conferences.

Requirements

• PhD with a strong background in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology
• Strong expertise in the field of endothelial biology preferably in context of chronic liver disease
• Knowledge in mammalian cell and tissue culture, experienced in methods to investigate interplay between different hepatic cell types; knowledge in microfluidic liver vasculature systems is a plus 
• Experience in systematic analysis and condensation of genomics data would be advantageous
• Very good oral communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to maintain focus in a complex environment
• Fluency in English; German language skills would be a plus
