Tasks & responsibilities
- In your new role, you will solve challenges associated with the development of complex proteins to bring innovative therapeutic drugs to patients.
- You will cover the ground from cell line development to downstream process development to devise and implement innovative solutions for developability challenges.
- Furthermore, you will establish scalable cloning workflows and apply data-driven design strategies to enable efficient generation of modular and optimized expression constructs.
- You will apply high-throughput tools, preparative chromatography and different protein-analytical methods to tackle CMC challenges of complex proteins.
- Moreover, you are the principal investigator for technology projects including scientific supervision of students and/or technical staff, planning, execution, and implementation.
- With your in-depth knowledge, you will deliver high-quality data and results including excellent communication and presentation to stakeholders e.g. project teams and line management.
Requirements
- PhD in chemical engineering, bioengineering, biotechnology, biology, biochemistry or a similar field
- In-depth knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology, and downstream processing of therapeutic proteins, including complex formats
- Experience with high-throughput workflows, data-driven design approaches, and analytical characterization
- Good leadership skills and the ability to influence within multidisciplinary teams, proactively collaborating and self-organizing to develop innovative solutions
- Record of relevant publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Excellent oral as well as scientific and technical writing and documentation competencies in English
