The Position
Located at the Biberach site, work with our Biological Developments Organization team on innovation projects to develop and implement new approaches for the analytical and biological characterization of protein/peptide aggregates and particles.

This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach
This position is limited for 2 years.
This position is part time eligible with 90 %.

Tasks & responsibilities
- In your new role, you will evaluate and implement novel technologies for the analytical characterization of aggregates and particles in biopharmaceutical products, for example protein/peptide based therapeutics.
- In addition, you will further refine the respective technologies by working on AI-enhanced data evaluation technologies, together with experts from other functional areas.
- With targeted characterization approaches you will contribute to an advanced understanding of the biological impact of aggregates and particles.
- Moreover, you will plan, coordinate and execute internal and external project activities, including reporting and presentation of results and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Furthermore, you will act as mentor of undergraduate students and internships.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a related scientific discipline such as biochemistry, biophysics, physics, biotechnology, pharmacy, physical chemistry or similar
- Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in protein chemistry, biophysics, protein analytics, ideally in the field of protein/peptide aggregation and/or particle analytics
- Experience in cellular potency assays or cellular immune biology is a plus
- Proactive and well-organized working manner, excellent organizational skills and the ability to respond to changing priorities and short lead times for multiple tasks
- Inspiring and goal-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills written and spoken
- sound technical writing and documentation competencies in English; German is beneficial
