Our PhD course in Medicinal and Process Chemistry offers a unique opportunity for organic and medicinal chemistry PhD students in the second half of their doctoral study to gain insights into how drugs are discovered and developed at Boehringer Ingelheim.
 
Get to know our Research Site Germany in Biberach an der Riss, at this 3-day on-site event from 26 to 29 November, 2025.
 
The program provides an in-depth understanding of the role of medicinal chemists and process chemists in pharmaceutical research and development, as well as multidisciplinary industry workflows, helping participants to make informed career decisions.

Program Highlights

  • In this program, you will present your research through poster presentations.
  • You will engage closely with experienced Boehringer scientists and peers.
  • Furthermore, you will acquire hands-on insights into medicinal and process chemistry as career paths through lectures, interactive sessions, and group challenges.
  • Additionally, you will tour our state-of-the-art facilities.
 

Requirements

  • Applicants should be in their second half of their PhD in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry
  • Possess a genuine interest in transitioning from academic research to a career in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Availability to attend the full duration of the on-site program from November 26 to 29 2025, is essential
  • Additionally, candidates must ensure they can obtain a valid travel visa for entry into Germany to participate in the event
