Manager - CMC Competitive Intelligence
The Position
As the Manager CMC Competitive Intelligence in Biberach, you will shape the strategic direction of CMC development through sound competitive and regulatory analyses. You will leverage data‑ and AI‑driven insights to derive decision‑relevant recommendations for Research, Development, and Business functions. In this key role, you will play a major part in safeguarding and further expanding the innovative strength of our portfolio.
This position is part time eligible with 80%.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Your primary responsibility will be to lead CMC Competitive Intelligence activities at the Germany site.
- You will be accountable for developing and implementing competitive development concepts and for translating data‑driven insights into recommendations for R&D and Business functions.
- Working closely with the Development CMC business functions, you will conduct in‑depth competitive intelligence analyses with a strong focus on CMC topics.
- You will coordinate cross‑functional validations of collected competitive intelligence data and ensure that subject‑matter experts and regulatory specialists are appropriately involved.
- By providing high‑quality dashboards, reports, and deep‑dive analyses, you will create transparency and support well‑informed decision‑making.
- As a representative of SmartCI, you will contribute your expertise to portfolio and strategic discussions and support stakeholders and governance bodies in deriving strategic and operational actions.
- You will oversee the prioritization of relevant intelligence topics across various modalities and ensure their targeted execution.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or Regulatory Affairs
- Extensive experience in CMC, regulatory, or strategic roles, along with proven expertise in Competitive Intelligence and Data Analytics
- Deep understanding of drug development and the specific business needs within Development CMC
- Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA, PMDA) and adherence to internal Business Intelligence guidelines as well as collaboration with Compliance and Data Privacy teams
- Strong capabilities in data interpretation, analytical synthesis, collaborative teamwork, persuasive stakeholder communication, business storytelling, and presentation
- Experience with digital intelligence tools
