Tasks & responsibilities 

Driving Global Medical Strategy Through Leadership, Scientific Excellence, External Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead the development and execution of globally aligned medical strategies from early development through lifecycle management.
  • Co-create integrated evidence plans (clinical, RWE, epidemiology) to support differentiation, regulatory success, and market access.
  • Adapt strategies to evolving scientific, regulatory, and market dynamics to ensure sustained medical excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Clinical Development, Operations, Safety, Epidemiology, Marketing, Market Access, Communications, and Patient Engagement.
  • Craft and deliver compelling, scientifically robust medical narratives and communication strategies.
  • Integrate actionable insights from external stakeholders and internal data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Drive publication planning, asset development, and scientific material creation.
  • Provide scientific input for promotional materials, presentations, and strategic documents.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders, scientific societies, and external partners to shape the medical landscape.
  • Build global-local Medical Affairs collaborations to ensure knowledge transfer, launch readiness, and regional alignment.

Requirements 

  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Advisor / Medical Manager, with a strong focus on Oncology—particularly in breast (preferred), lung or GI cancers. Proven track record in both international and country-level roles, contributing to strategic medical planning and execution.
  • Experience on country level and in global teams
  • Expert in interpreting complex scientific and clinical trial data, with deep involvement in evidence generation activities, including study design, data analysis, and real-world evidence initiatives. Demonstrated ability to lead and support clinical development programs and medical affairs strategies that drive value across the product lifecycle.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining trusted relationships with global thought leaders, investigators, and key stakeholders. Adept at cross-functional collaboration, especially within medico-marketing teams, to ensure alignment and impactful execution.
  • Strong understanding of drug development and commercialization processes, with hands-on experience in launching new indications and supporting regulatory and reimbursement submissions. Known for clear and compelling communication, training, and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral).

Additional Requirements for Senior Level

  • Significant experience in Oncology, with a focus on breast, lung or GI cancers, including successful launches and indication expansions at local, regional, or global levels.
  • Advanced expertise in clinical development and Evidence Generation, including protocol development, feasibility assessments, and sample size calculations.
  • Proven success in engaging with regulatory and reimbursement bodies, contributing to favorable outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities, with a history of driving cross-regional medical initiatives and global medical strategy.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for generating impactful medical evidence that informs clinical practice and supports access.
