Medical Science Liaison Oncology (Lung Cancer) (m/f/d)

The position

We are seeking a committed MSL who is ready to break new ground with us. 

As a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) for Oncology, you serve as the central interface at Boehringer Ingelheim for external specialists and health care professionals within Switzerland. In this key role, you promote scientific exchange, support the safe use of our products in clinical practice, and make an important contribution to ongoing medical education. You take on both proactive and reactive tasks, actively bringing your expertise into internal and external working groups.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for clinical professionals and centers in Switzerland and leading local medical-scientific activities
  • Drive cross-functional projects in close collaboration with teams from Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, and Market Access
  • Take on medical-scientific support for our soon-to-be-approved products and/or indications
  • Inform clinical professionals and the specialist audience about the latest clinical study results and product characteristics
  • Design workshops, symposia, and training sessions
  • Seek advice from regional advisory boards
  • Ensure successful events with your professional competence
  • Work closely with the internal teams to select suitable clinical trial centers
  • Represent our company and contribute to the planning and implementation of internal and external training sessions at (inter-)national professional congresses

Requirements

  • Successfully completed medical or scientific degree, ideally with a doctorate (PhD, MD)
  • At least several years of professional experience in Medical Affairs (MSL, Scientific/Medical Advisor, etc.), clinical research, complemented by solid product and literature knowledge as well as sound medical fundamentals in the lung cancer space
  • Strong professional and analytical expertise, combined with excellent communication skills and empathy for the perspectives of professionals and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently
  • Cooperative and goal-oriented working style, paired with outstanding management and organizational talents
  • Flexibility and high willingness to travel
  • Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written (French or Italian is a plus)
