Market Access and Healthcare Affairs Manager (m/f/d)
The position
This role is pivotal in unlocking broad and fast patient access to innovative therapies. It drives high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives and actively shapes a favorable, future‑ready healthcare environment through collaboration with key partners – including payers, national policymakers, patient advocacy groups, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and medical societies.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead preparation and submission of FOPH reimbursement dossiers, and drive pricing & reimbursement negotiations with FOPH ensuring broad and fast access
- Design and implement pilot projects and multi-stakeholder partnerships with select healthcare system stakeholders to demonstrate value and improve uptake
- Develop and implement Swiss market access and healthcare affairs strategies, aligned with regional and global priorities
- Advocate for TA-specific policy goals aimed at improving patient care & outcomes; identify opportunities and translate them into (long-term) business impact
- Map and engage key stakeholders across Switzerland, including Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), health insurers, national policymakers, patient advocacy groups and think tanks
Requirements
- Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Health Economics, Public Health/Medicine, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related environments (e.g. FOPH, health insurers), with a strong focus on Market Access and Healthcare Affairs
- Proven expertise in BAG negotiations, and track record in effective engagement with key Swiss healthcare stakeholders
- Deep understanding of the Swiss healthcare policy landscape, coupled with strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and commercial capabilities
- Fluency in German and English; French and Italian are a plus
