Medical Writer Publications role with Global Services Medical Writing Delivery Unit based in Barcelona (Sant Cugat), Spain with flexible hybrid working option. Become part of a dynamic and growing team of skilled medical writers developing diverse scientific content like publications and associated scientific content (slide decks, Q&As, and study summaries) while collaborating with therapeutic area experts.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Draft high quality publication outputs (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations) and associated medical content within specified delivery timelines and compliant to BI standards and processes.

  • Update content according to the feedback received during review cycles.

  • Ensure final version receives approval from the relevant stakeholders.

  • Perform peer reviews for style and accuracy and for continuous improvement purposes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of the publication and medical content outputs.

Requirements

  • Experienced Medical Writer (3-5 years), with a scientific background and degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or Masters), at least 3 years of experience in writing and managing scientific publications (manuscripts, posters, abstracts, etc.) Excellent medical writing skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to manage and prioritize multiple, detailed activities, results-orientated with fast and focused execution.

  • Good communication, coordination and time management skills.

  • Ability to work within a team or across multiple teams (including remotely) as well as independently.

  • Fluent in oral and written English with high level of communication skills, values teamwork and collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and innovation.

  • Prior experience working in any of the therapeutic areas of Cardiovascular, Metabolism, Respiratory (CMR), Inflammation, Immunology, Retinopathy, Central Nervous System, and Oncology would be advantageous.
