THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our team at Boehringer Ingelheim as a key player in ensuring our financial accounting and tax obligations are met with precision and compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for executing financial tasks in accordance with our policies and local regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will collaborate proactively with the Global Business Services Center (GBSC) to maintain adherence to financial and reporting guidelines. Additionally, you will support the Head of Finance, Accounting & Tax (FAT) in all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, contributing to the overall financial integrity of our organization. 

 

This position is based in Athens (Greece) and reports directly to the Head of Finance, Accounting & Tax .

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Global Business Services Center.
  • Ensure all invoices meet regulatory and local requirements.
  • Collaborate proactively with local Purchasing and GBSC to enhance processes.
  • Ensure necessary reconciliations are completed accurately.
  • Manage localizations when referring to cost accounting.
  • Provide support and follow-up on activities related to Mydata.
  • Initiate payments in coordination with GBSC.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Accounting/Tax.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in financial accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
  • Fluent in both Greek and English.
  • Good understanding of Greek financial accounting and tax regulations.
  • Strong communication and proactive approach.
