Team Leader, Maintenance
Description
This position provides managerial and operational guidance to direct reports within the Infrastructure & Clean Utilities (I&CU) department. The incumbent is responsible for building, developing, and leading a high-performing team of six technicians to ensure the reliable operation of critical site systems. Reporting directly to the I&CU Manager, the incumbent fosters a team culture focused on safe, compliant, and high-quality execution of scheduled activities, while effectively managing emergent issues and shifting priorities in a dynamic 24/7 environment.
As Team Leader, Maintenance, you will lead Team B, working Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as part of a three-shift, around-the-clock operation. Success in this role requires strong leadership, prioritization, and real-time coordination skills.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Manage maintenance and related process improvements to ensure reliable and compliant operation of production and infrastructure equipment. Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including coordination and oversight of external contractors for production and facility repairs. Write, schedule, review, and close work orders, including preventive maintenance tasks, using the site’s CMMS (SAP-PM). This includes systems such as Cold Storage, HVAC (including cooling towers and chillers), High Purity Water, Boilers, Clean Steam, Fire Protection, Electrical Distribution, Compressed Air, and Facilities Infrastructure.
· Assist the production group with technical problems and operational issues. Collaborate with the process engineering team to support and implement process improvements.
· Schedule and perform annual production equipment rebuilds and facility shutdowns in coordination with other departments and stakeholders.
· Write departmental procedures (e.g., SOPs, Preventive Maintenance Procedures) in compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies. Initiate and complete Change Controls as required.
· Perform follow-up on completed work and conduct evaluations of direct reports. Provide regular coaching, feedback, and support to team members. Identify and facilitate development and training opportunities to enhance team performance.
· Identify and maintain inventory of critical spare parts to support uninterrupted production operations. Research, recommend, and procure new equipment and tools to enhance maintenance capabilities and production reliability.
Requirements

· High School Diploma or Equivalent, and professional Training/Certification in Maintenance Related Field required (Refrigeration, Electrical, and Boiler or Apprenticeship Training preferred).
· Six (6) years of experience in a maintenance craft.
· Three (3) years of BI experience or supervisory experience in a maintenance related field.
· Demonstrated experience leading maintenance or technical projects.
· Supervisory experience and preferred.
· Experience in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.
· Effective interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels.
· Experience with CMMS maintenance software & SAP preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Attention to detail and commitment to customer needs.
· Excellent internal customer service.
· Ability to prioritize business needs.
