The Senior Principal Engineer, Project Management will drive and execute key strategic projects - related to process engineering, project execution, project coordination, project reporting, project qualification, project start-up, and project training. This role interacts with key stakeholders (global leaders, local leaders, and local GFE/operations) to ensure smooth project transition from design, to build, to qualify, to train, and to start-up.

Requirements

Principal Engineer, Project Management Requirements:
BS degree in construction-related engineering (engineering management, civil, mechanical, etc.) or related field from accredited engineering school and four to seven (4-7) years of relevant engineering experience.
Masters in Engineering or MBA preferred.
PMP and/or EIT or PE or strong desire to pursue preferred.
Planning organization, coordinating, and developing projects, budgets.
Strong organization, leadership, communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Obtaining bids, coordinating construction projects for facilities and/or equipment repairs, negotiate contracts, discuss projects.
Strong team orientation and ability to work cross functionally with various groups such as Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Industrial Development, R&D, and Manufacturing.
Abreast of new developments in Engineering fields that pertain to facilities, utilities, and various other operations throughout the plant.
Scheduling capital activities to meet production needs.
Ability to execute multi-discipline assignments and ability to master new skills quickly.
Coordinating construction activities to minimize impact on production.
Effective interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels.
Proficiency in relevant computer software and programs, associated with Engineering (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD or equivalent programs).
Attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with all levels of corporate and local management and employees.
Ability to plan, schedule, organize, prioritize, and coordinate project activities as activities impact strategic and operation strategies.
Ability to visualize a finished product.
Understanding and practice basic financial & accounting methods and procedures.
Ability to understand, evaluate, and implement validation strategies in tandem with project activities.

 

Requirements

Senior Principal Engineer, Project Management Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required. MBA preferred.
At least five (5) years Animal/ Human Health industry knowledge (e.g. Consulting, engineering, operational leadership, business excellence improvements) Including influencing or leading others.
Global Supply Animal health / human pharmaceutical business experience, with significant technical/engineering/operations experience for the manufacturing of GMP products
Must have experience with advanced problem–solving, project coordination, and steering a culture to deliver the project on-time, within budget, and to meet expected deliverables.
Should be able to demonstrate project / program ROI results from previous experience.
Ability to successfully steer, report, facilitate, challenge, and deliver technical projects on-time and meet the strategic deliverables.
Demonstrated engineering and automation knowledge to serve as a technical partner on a broad range of operational topics.
Project management experience and ability to oversee multiple projects running simultaneously and provide quality control and guidance on projects
Demonstrated ability to bridge strategic and operational thinking, translating strategy into operational tactics
Knowledge of operations management tactics to ensure project plan can be translated into operational reality.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
Must be 18 years of age or older.
