Job Title: Local Process Manager
Location: 1730 Olympic Drive, Athens, GA 30601 (Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from this office 40% of the time)

Job Duties: Responsible for Process adherence and improvement within multiple integrated process areas. Independently leads project deployment, upgrades, process improvements as required within the applicable site(s), regions and/or countries within multiple integrated process areas, as well as interfacing process areas. Scope can include stand-alone systems, core SAP, and interfaced systems within the system landscape. Works across the site(s) and/or Business Units to create demands and ensures implementation of process improvements within multiple integrated process areas, as well as interfacing process areas. Partners with multiple local process owners and business colleagues as applicable across the network to ensure continued compliance and alignment between business processes, specifications, test plans, SOPs, risk mitigation matrices, and other process documents and procedures for responsible and related process areas. Brings knowledge, innovation and solutions into the organization through involvement with external user groups and other professional organizations. Gathers specification with Business and IT and supports business case creation to address demand to global demand coordinator. Challenges demand requests, when needed to defend template. Develops, coaches, mentors, trains, and shares technical and process expertise. Engages and builds commitment with leadership at the site(s) to build a strong and sustainable culture of key users and/or system/process experts. Supports complex projects in a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, EU, and other applicable agency regulations. *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Boehringer Ingelheim USA Corporation office in Athens, GA 40% of the time.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (8:00am to 5:00pm) 

Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in a technology or engineering field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR No degree and nine (9) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: SAP; Biological or pharmaceutical production; SAP PP (Production Planning); and, Working in structure and operations of pharmaceutical and vaccine supply organization. Must have five (5) years of experience with: System implementation or deployment; and, Working in a cGMP manufacturing facility or similar environment. Must have three (3) years of experience with Manufacturing Execution System. Must have two (2) years of experience with process design and improvement. 30% domestic and international travel required.
