THE OPPORTUNITY
The Head of Business Excellence (BEX) drives transformation and operational excellence across the Dutch Operating Unit (OPU), leading analytics, omnichannel excellence, training, customer engagement, and customer operations and build the foundation for strategic decisions; strengthens operational rigor and harmonization across Therapeutic Areas, and ensures data becomes the foundation for strategic and tactical decision‑making.
As a key strategic partner, the role ensures flawless implementation of the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, aligning priorities and KPIs across teams and Therapeutic Areas. By leveraging digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled insights, the Head of BEX strengthens decision-making and elevates customer engagement.
Also, in this role, you will lead a team of Business Excellence, Analytics, and Customer Engagement professionals and will build capabilities, embed data-driven ways of working, and ensure strong change management to enable sustainable performance and execution excellence.
This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the General Manager/Head of Human Pharma in the Netherlands.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead change management for GTM (go-to-market) optimization ensuring organizational readiness and adoption.
- Localize and implement MIDI GTM strategy, processes, and platforms (ICP, segmentation, targeting, Veeva CRM).
- Champion AI-powered analytics, automation, and omnichannel tools to improve forecasting, segmentation, and MCCP planning.
- Deliver harmonized KPI dashboards and predictive insights for informed business steering.
- Lead and develop the BEX team, fostering a high-performance, innovative culture.
- Accountable for business processes such as customer engagement model, ICP, Segmentation, Targeting & Profiling.
- Embed customer centricity in all processes and ensure superior customer experience.
- Drive orchestration and omnichannel excellence across Customer Facing Teams.
- Drive capability building and training excellence across commercial teams
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor Degree and/or Diploma Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Customer Experience or Omnichannel marketing.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent command of the English language. Fluency in Dutch is preferred.
- Proven experience in business excellence, Go to market strategy, and digital transformation.
- Excellent analytical and digital proficiency (CRM systems, automation, AI).
- Familiarity with Veeva or equivalent tools/platforms.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with an innovative mindset.
- Strong change management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high workloads and prioritize for teams.
- Functional steering of a variety of internal stakeholders (local and international).
- Proven ability to manage high workloads, prioritize effectively, and navigate ambiguity.
