Are you ready to lead the transformation of data into strategic value? At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are looking for a Data & Platform Manager – Animal Health MIDI to join our Commercial Excellence team. 

 

In this pivotal role, you will drive the roadmap, adoption, integration, and governance of data and digital platforms across the MIDI region, enabling smarter decision-making and operational excellence.

 

This is your opportunity to:

  • Shape the data and platform strategy for Animal Health across multiple countries.
  • Lead the rollout and optimization of global platforms like Salesforce, Veeva, Snowflake, SAP, and Power BI.
  • Empower local teams by guiding data stewards and ensuring high-quality, compliant data practices.
  • Bridge business and technology, translating complex data needs into actionable insights and scalable solutions.
  • Champion change, foster adoption, and deliver real business impact through data.

 

This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Head of Commercial Excellence.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the MIDI implementation of global data and platform strategies, ensuring alignment with global roadmaps.
  • Integrate internal and external data sources into centralized reporting environments and dashboards.
  • Optimize and standardize business-critical reports across MIDI using Power BI.
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, GxP).
  • Promote platform adoption and lead enablement programs, training, and change management initiatives.
  • Act as a key liaison between global platform teams and regional/local business users.
  • Serve as Lead Data Steward for Veeva CRM in MIDI, ensuring high-quality customer data and supporting local data stewards with training, best practices, and process guidance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across commercial excellence, sales, marketing, IT, and analytics to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly data solutions.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in data platforms, digital transformation, or analytics in life sciences or animal health.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Salesforce, SAP, Veeva, and Power BI.
  • Proven expertise in dashboard development and data visualization best practices.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and integration standards.
  • Familiarity with commercial and marketing data (CRM, omnichannel, segmentation).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills.
