In this role, you will empower bold, compliant moves by backing up our Human Pharma and Animal Health businesses in their decision making. By executing and advocating our global Compliance & Integrity Strategy you are key in running our Compliance Management System. This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance MIDI.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the execution and continuous further development of all compliance program elements in the MIDI Region with a particular focus on the risk areas Healthcare Compliance, Animal Health Compliance and Anti-bribery / Anti-corruption
- Being a valuable partner for our Human Pharma and Animal Health businesses and an expert in all relevant Compliance risk areas
- Promoting our risk-based and business-centric Compliance & Integrity approach in accordance with the three lines model and risk ownership in business
- Leading a team of MIDI Compliance & Integrity Managers and coordinating a network of local compliance champions
- Constantly fostering people development and a culture of innovation and excellence
- Regularly reporting to senior management on the compliance program status in the region for risk awareness, risk mitigation and smart business decision making
- Proactively contributing to our global network of Compliance & Integrity Officers and closely collaborating with Corporate Compliance & Integrity
- Participating in key global projects by providing MIDI requirements, insights and best practice input
- Monitoring the legal and regulatory framework in the region, following the competitive environment and developments in local industry associations
- Promoting data driven decision making and leveraging relevant technology including AI.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor and master degree in law, compliance management, business administration or in a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- People and project leadership experience in an international corporate environment
- Strong leadership skills to set clear direction, foster accountability, promote collaboration, and build a high‑performing, engaged and results‑driven team
- Business acumen and ability to identify and resolve issues timely and effectively, applying smart-risk taking skills
- Broad perspective and vision, capability to devise and implement innovative solutions
- Experience in change management and leading in an international matrix environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining constructive relationships internally and externally
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively leverage new tools and technologies to enhance work efficiency and quality
- Excellent command of the English language
