THE OPPORTUNITY

As our Business Analyst Human Pharma (HP) within the Dutch OPU (Operating Unit), you will act as a key strategic partner within the local organization and will be responsible for managing primary and secondary data processes to enable data-driven decision-making.
Acting as the primary contact for custom reporting and dashboards, the Business Analyst drives short- and long-term forecasting, supports digitalization and automation of multichannel campaigns, and collaborates with cross-functional teams—including Medical, Market Access, and Sales—to harmonize and optimize processes across therapeutic areas.
This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the GM/Head of Human Pharma NL.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze brand and market performance for multiple brands and customer experience using multiple data sources (e.g., market, channels, share of voice) to provide recommendations to various stakeholders in order to optimize strategy and execution, including preparation for senior management meetings.
- Act as a consultant and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business insights on targeting, segmentation, digital channels, and customer engagement excellence, while building analytics and insights capabilities.
- Ensure local input on KPIs to track performance, support go-to-market transformation, and measure the impact of key activities.
- Conduct market trend analysis and scan secondary data sources; provide long-term forecasts for the business cycle in line with MIDI processes and develop business cases for strategic changes.
- Manage demand forecasting processes, including monthly updates for supply planning.
- Drive automation and digitalization by supporting multichannel campaigns and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Perform root cause analyses to inform strategic decisions and optimize operational effectiveness.
- Support commercial planning activities, including sales bonus structures, targeting and segmentation models, customer planning, and KPI measurement.
- Coordinate Primary Market Research (PMR) plans with MIDI Business Analytics, acting as the primary business partner for Asset Leads and teams; monitor PMR project execution for compliance, budget, timelines, and follow-up actions.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Business Administration, Business Analysis, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 4 -5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry.
- Experience in business analyses (incl. primary and secondary market research), forecasting, CRM or as a digital analyst (incl. customer journeys, multichannel engagement, customer experience).
- Experience in digital marketing analytics, including web analysis, conversion funnels, and customer experience optimization.
- Proficiency in tools for qualitative and quantitative research, data visualization, and analytics (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
- Excellent English skills are required and Dutch language proficiency is considered a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and generate accurate forecasts.
- Business and customer acumen with strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into operational execution.
- Agile and solution-oriented professional - with strong collaboration, communication and multitasking capabilities.Strong prioritization skills and ability to maintain focus on strategic objectives.
