THE OPPORTUNITY

Step into a role where your ability to manage relationships and deliver exceptional after-sales service truly makes a difference. As Account Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim, you’ll take ownership of an established portfolio in the equine segment and ensure our customers receive the support they need long after the initial sale.

Your day-to-day will be about building trust, solving challenges, and creating value for riding schools, stables, and professionals across the Netherlands. You’ll have the freedom to work independently, travel extensively, and develop strategies that strengthen partnerships and drive long-term success.

This position is based in the Netherlands and reports to the National Sales Manager.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio with a strong focus on account management and after-sales support.
  • Build long-term relationships and act as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Prepare and execute account plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Use CRM tools to plan, track, and follow up on customer interactions.
  • Organize customer meetings, seminars, and projects in collaboration with internal teams.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of successful sales experience, ideally in animal health.
  • Strong relationship management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the Netherlands.
  • Affinity with the equine industry (this is not a veterinary role).
