Pharmacovigilance Manager
The opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacovigilance Manager/ Local Patient Safety Lead to join our team in Algeria. As a Pharmacovigilance Manager/Local Patient Safety Lead you will report to Medical Director, Algeria and will be ensuring a compliant local PV system aligned with global strategy. Safeguard public health by maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting marketing authorization through robust safety processes and strategic leadership.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Define and advocate local PSPV strategy, aligning with global goals to enhance patient safety culture.
- Engage stakeholders, monitor pharma trends, and implement initiatives to strengthen pharmacovigilance awareness and impact.
- Lead and develop PSPV team through BI culture, AAI principles, and strategic resource planning.
- Ensure deputy readiness, drive project execution, and foster accountability, diversity, and team excellence.
- Drive patient-centric innovation by challenging norms and co-creating impactful solutions with internal and external partners.
- Maintain a compliant local PV system, manage PSPV budget, ensure documentation, training, and regulatory alignment.
- Fulfill Local PS Lead duties, oversee PVAs, literature screening, safety reporting, and business contingency planning.
Requirements:
- Degree in Medicine.
- Minimum 1-2 years of Pharmacovigilance experience in a Multinational pharmaceutical company, with experience in foreign countries would be an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable global, regional and local PV regulations, and patient safety relevant topics.
- Comprehensive functional and technical skills in Pharmacovigilance.
- Good technical knowledge of Pharmacovigilance databases
- Sound expertise in GxP regulations
- Working knowledge of Boehringer Ingelheim therapeutic areas and drug development process.
- Excellent leadership skills.
