GFE Associate

Join us in Riyadh as our GFE Associate – SAGEA, where you’ll lead and coordinate Global Facilities & Engineering (GFE) activities across the SAGEA OPU. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner closely with the Head of Finance & Administration (SAGEA) and the Head of GFE IMETA to keep our operations running safely, smoothly, and sustainably. From administrative and facilities oversight to health, safety, and regulatory compliance, you’ll help create a workplace that enables our people to do their best work—every day.

Role & Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate and support Health & Safety compliance, ensuring the provision of the appropriate scope of services for the OPU.
  • Support the delivery of fast, agile, and high‑quality Site Services in alignment with Boehringer Ingelheim standards.
  • Facilitate communication and protocols that ensure the safety and security of all employees and company assets, including office maintenance and refurbishments.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all office management matters for employees in the OPU, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Liaise closely with the ROPU GFE team on all facility management topics and ensure alignment with regional directives.
  • Oversee the management of the office, fleet, and outdoor areas (including the VTS Center) while balancing key parameters: safety, cost efficiency, environmental sustainability, quality, and lifecycle performance.
  • Act as the Local Security Manager, implementing and ensuring compliance with global and regional security directives.
  • Act as the Local EHS Lead, coordinating EHS activities including annual self‑assessments, audits, initial incident investigations (office and 3rd‑party environments), and ensuring a safe workplace.
  • Support local and regional GFE projects
  • Ensure best‑in‑class Facility Management Services, coordinating with external service providers to deliver transparent, efficient, and compliant services.
  • Manage general services and fleet operations, oversee outsourced partners, and ensure adherence to global/local standards and policies.
  • Serve as the GFE Cost Center Owner, ensuring compliance with global targets, financial transparency, and operational efficiency.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be a Saudi national.
  • Business‑fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably involving facility management, EHS, security, and/or crisis management.
  • Demonstrated experience in health and safety guidance, including interaction with various management levels.
  • Proven ability to ensure continuous services, labor compliance, asset management, and maintenance coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High resilience under pressure, strong self‑motivation, and solid problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
