The Opportunity:

 

This role focuses on driving scientific engagement and collaboration with External Experts (EEs) to support strategic medical initiatives and therapeutic. The position requires leadership in executing medically driven initiatives, delivering scientific training, and managing information dissemination to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role emphasizes innovation, compliance, and maintaining up-to-date expertise in relevant therapeutic areas.

This role will report to Medical Manager and will be based in Abu Dhabi, within our Near East & UAE operating unit.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Demonstrate leadership in executing medically driven initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all activities are compliant and contribute to organizational goals.
  • Provide medical insights to shape brand tactical plans and strategies in specific therapeutic areas. Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams and recommend potential investigators to clinical operations.
  • Deliver presentations on therapeutic updates, guidelines, and disease management while leading scientific discussions. Support Medical Information teams in addressing healthcare professionals' queries effectively.
  • Conduct scientific training for the Field Force and provide regular updates through various forums. Act as an educational resource for sales teams and internal stakeholders by sharing relevant publications and competitor insights.
  • Identify and recommend innovative e-programs and platforms to enhance departmental functions and therapeutic area development. Drive the adoption of digital tools to support medical initiatives and improve engagement.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in therapeutic areas by reviewing current literature and local data. Ensure strict adherence to medical affairs codes, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance and uphold standards.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, medicine/MD/ or equivalence 
  • At least 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry 
  • Experience in Obesity & Cardiorenal Metabolic Therapeutic Area is preferred
  • Previous MSL/medical experience in prelaunch activities and external expert engagements is a must.
  • Must be based in Abu Dhabi with an ability to travel 50% of the time (Field based position)
  • Business fluent in English
  • Intellectual curiosity about the field of science /medicine for which they are responsible
  • Ability to work effectively and share information within a team environment
  • Excellent self-management skills and ability to adapt services provided based on customer needs
  • Good understanding of business and commercial environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly motivated & agile
