Job Responsibilities
- Independently operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) platforms, including Orbitrap-based systems.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical methods using LC-HRMS technologies.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses using LC-HRMS techniques for small molecules, impurities, degradation products and peptides.
- Generate, review, and maintain analytical data, reports, and technical documentation in compliance with laboratory quality requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analytical support for research, development, troubleshooting, and investigative projects.
- Provide technical expertise and scientific guidance on mass spectrometry applications and data interpretation and mentor junior analysts.
- Support laboratory compliance, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HRMS analysis.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining HRMS platforms, preferably Thermo Scientific Orbitrap systems.
- Experience supporting analytical investigations and solving complex analytical challenges.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mass spectrometry principles, including ionization techniques, mass analyzers, and fragmentation mechanisms.
- Demonstrated expertise in HRMS data acquisition, spectral interpretation, and structural elucidation.
- Hands-on experience with sample preparation techniques for LC-HRMS applications.
- Proficiency with mass spectrometry software platforms such as Xcalibur or equivalent.
- Experience with LC-HRMS method development, optimization, and troubleshooting for peptides analysis
- Knowledge of GMP is considered an advantage.
