What to expect
In this role, you will be a key player in building and maintaining medical/scientific expertise for our products and therapeutic areas. You will provide strategic medical input for local Integrated Customer Plans and ensure the successful launch of new products and indications.
Your Responsibilities at a Glance
- Build and maintain medical/scientific expertise for our products and therapeutic areas
- Provide strategic medical input for local Integrated Customer Plans
- Plan, execute, and monitor the effectiveness of local medical activities, including symposia, advisory board meetings, and scientific exchange meetings
- Serve as the primary medical contact with external experts, dedicating over 70% of your working time to this role
- Identify, interact, and engage with external experts, clinicians, scientific societies, and other stakeholders to understand and meet BI and customer needs, driving awareness for BI products in the academic and clinical community
- Ensure the successful launch of new products and indications and contribute medical expertise to cross-functional activities
- Provide medical training to ensure sufficient product knowledge across field force and other departments
- Coordinate, execute, and monitor the effectiveness of local medical activities and programs, such as non-interventional studies, non-trial activities, IIS, or compassionate use programs
- Adhere to company SOPs concerning areas of responsibility, including reporting adverse drug reactions and pharmacovigilance procedure
What you bring
- University degree in life sciences or MD, preferably with previous pharma experience in medical affairs and knowledge of drug development, pharmacovigilance, scientific, and/or regulatory affairs
- Proven experience as a medical advisor or Medical Science Liaison in prescription medicines
- Strong clinical and/or scientific experience in at least one of our active therapeutic areas: cardiovascular, renal, metabolic
- Experience in generating, publishing, and interpreting scientific information into clinically relevant data according to evidence-based medicine criteria
- Strong business acumen with thorough knowledge of marketing, external customer needs, and compliance requirements. Ability to balance business and medical needs to foster effective Medico/Marketing partnerships
- Superior organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills with strategic capabilities. Strong lateral leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proactive, team-oriented, and networker with intercultural competence
- Fluent in English and German; proficiency in French or Italian is a plus
