Product Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dynamic Human Pharma Product Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated brand strategies to achieve business objectives, market access, and sustainable growth in Algeria for a fixed term of one year.

The role is based in Algiers, Algeria. The Product Manager is expected to possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget. Demonstrate strong scientific acumen to translate clinical data into compelling, compliant marketing messages for healthcare professionals and stakeholders. The applicant must hold advanced analytical, project management, and communication skills, with a focus on compliance and ethical standards

 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the annual brand plan, including product positioning, messaging, and promotional activities, in alignment with the company’s global strategy and local market needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management, collaborating with Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, and Sales teams.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Drive the execution of omni-channel marketing, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders (healthcare professionals, KOLs) to enhance brand presence and support business objectives.
  • Monitor and optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and ROI tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all brand activities.
  • Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to local and regional management.
  • Full compliance with Algerian pharmaceutical regulations, including product registration, promotional material approval, and pharmacovigilance, as overseen by the Ministry of Health and the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products (ANPP).
  • Adherence to internal policies, SOPs for pharmaceutical marketing and communications.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: University degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical brand management or product management within the Algerian market.
  • Industry: Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry is a plus. Experience in Diabetes is a must; Cardiovascular is a plus with a specific experience in product launch management.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the local healthcare environment, regulatory landscape, and market access challenges with a proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • System or Technical experience: Proficiency in product management software and tools.
  • Language: Fluent in French and English; Arabic is a plus.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Digital Marketing: Experience with digital channels, omnichannel campaigns, and innovative engagement tactics to maximize brand reach and impact.
  • Customer-Centricity: Focus on understanding and addressing the needs of healthcare professionals and patients to build trust and engagement.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to motivate, train, and align sales teams, and to work closely with Medical, Regulatory, Market Access department
