Post Doc - Intravitreal (IVT) Analytics

The Position


We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative postdoctoral scientist to join our Analytical Development department. Within our interdisciplinary team including pharmaceutical and analytical development, we develop innovative new dissolution methods to face current and future challenges.
The Post-Doc position will involve investigating new technologies and techniques that focus on (biorelevant) dissolution of intravitreal injectable depot formulations. With your scientific expertise and innovative ideas, you can contribute to the development and implementation of novel analytical tools to characterize and analyze such formulations.

This position is limited for 2 years.
 

Tasks & responsibilities
 

  • As Post-Doc you will develop and implement novel analytical tools for the analysis of different intravitreal injectable formulations to develop in vitro dissolution tests and increase overall understanding of performance related parameters. 
  • You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of your experiments based on regulatory requirements and literature research. 
  • At internal project interfaces and scientific working groups, you will be the expert presenting your results and technologies.
  • You will be responsible for compiling presentations and reports as well as training colleagues in your developed methods.

 
Requirements

 

  • Doctoral degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or related fields with experience in dissolution and various analytical tools (e.g. HPLC, imaging)
  • Previous work experience with long-acting injectable (LAI) formulations and/or intravitreal injectable formulations is beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills as well as sound technical writing and documentation competencies 
  • An independent, proactive and well-organized working manner, excellent organizational skills and the ability to respond to changing priorities and short lead times for multiple tasks
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) with a good command of German
