The Head of Medical Affairs (HoMA), South Korea, leads the MA organization. The responsible area consists of different TAs (Oncology, Inflammation, CNS and new pipeline). HoMA is based at the local Office (LO) in Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) Korea, Seoul.
Throughout the lifecycle of BI products, HoMA leads the development of MA-strategies and implementation of the corresponding MA-activities in the Korea. In addition, HoMA closely and cross-functionally interacts with relevant (R)OPU partners to develop local strategies and activities which are aligned with and/or support the global ones. These strategies are part of a cross-functional effort to provide scientific guidance and clinically meaningful information, ensuring that the right patients can take advantage of the full benefits of our products. The strategies should help to drive the business for prescription health care products.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Oversight and support the development of MA-strategies of BI brands.
Responsible for implementation of the corresponding MA-activities in the Korea; studies, publications, or programs with external experts
Responsible in driving cross functional collaboration to bring the benefit of BI medications to our patients across the compound life-cycle
Responsible for budget management of MA team
Responsible for ensuring that BI attracts, develops, and, retains talents within MA team
Requirements
Education Qualification: Medical Doctor
Minimum of 5 - 10 years of board pharmaceutical industry experience in medical and related regulatory and scientific activities, including budget management.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experiences as people manager
Analytical thinking, communication and negotiation, integrity/ethics, managing conflict, quality orientation, teamwork, visionary leadership, change management, business orientation
Highly passionate and goal-oriented
Proven excellence in execution of medical affairs activities.
